My black history begins with my Grandmother. It shows how no matter the circumstances we can overcome with the power of the Lord. My Grandmother was a strong Christian woman that had unbelievable strength and faith. She raised me to be a strong-willed person. She told me one day regret makes you look back, worrying makes you look forward, but faith in the Lord keeps your head up. I can remember times when we had nothing to eat and she went and prayed for hours. The next thing I knew, we feed not only our family but my fathers side too. With that foundation I knew I can do anything with the Lords blessing.
