My family history is the same as everybody else's. My family tree goes way beyond the 1800's. I never knew who my great grandparents were because I was too young to know but I saw pictures. My Grandmothers grandparents were white and my family most of them are light skinned. Our family has many cultures, starting out with whites, blacks, African, Jamaican, and Barbadian. On my mom and dad's side, my family is from all over; South Carolina, North Carolina, Texas and Florida. Today I look and wonder how things used to be in the past and how the family tree started.
